Corporate Identity Schimmer Records Collective
2022 , CI, Bachelor of Arts project
tasks: concept and design of a label identity, branding
The label Schimmer Records, located in the subculture of electronic music, is to receive an individual recognition value in the niche culture with the help of a newly conceived label identity.
As an independent label, it is important to know one's own audience and the cultural characteristics of the applicable music culture in order to respond to the needs of the audience. In the written part of the bachelor thesis, the interests of the subculture and the previous concept of the label are examined and compared with other established labels in the scene. From these findings, a design system is developed that can be applied to the label Schimmer Records and its sub-labels Groovebox and Liquid One. This sytem is a combination of analog and digital methods.
The aim of the work is to offer an individual representation of the label within the subculture. The new concept should also improve the label's communication to the outside world.
